September 6th, 2019 – Oscar Health is coming to Colorado, with new plans that will start January 1st, 2020. In 2020, Oscar will be offering its referral free plans exclusively in the metro-Denver area.
Oscar promotes itself as being user friendly, offering clients smart phone apps, free 24 hour telemedicine access, and discounts for being active.
Oscar was founded in 2012 by Mario Schlosser and Josh Kushner. Today, Oscar generates premiums of over $1 billion and employs over 1000 employees, covering 257,000 individuals and businesses in 9 states today. Oscar is expanding into 6 new states in 2020, including Colorado.
