October 2nd, 2019 – Today, charts for eligibility for both federal tax credits and Colorado state programs like Health First Colorado and CHP+ for the upcoming 2020 enrollment year were released.
The new 3 step format is very user friendly to determine if Colorado residents are eligible for Health First Colorado, CHP+ and/or federal tax credits. If a family’s monthly gross income is above the levels in step 2, then the 2nd chart in step 3 below uses family estimated gross income for 2020 to see if they’re eligible for federal tax credits.
It’s worth noting that federal tax credits are not available to Coloradans eligible for Medicaid or Medicare or who have affordable coverage through an employer.
However, even if Coloradans do not qualify for any financial help, they can still purchase a Qualified Health Plan (QHP), which is simply an Affordable Care Act compliant health insurance plan. Get free professional assistance and quotes on all the plans both through Connect for Health Colorado and directly from insurance carriers.
