Also, some carriers that are allowing enrollments though the end of December for a January 1st start date, so long as it’s not done through the Connect for Health Colorado marketplace. Otherwise, enrollments through the Connect for Health Colorado marketplace between December 16th and January 15th will have a February 1st start date.
January 15th marks the end of the 2023 open enrollment period, which is the only time Coloradans who purchase their own health insurance can get coverage unless they have a qualifying life event, such as a loss of employer sponsored health insurance coverage, move from out of state to Colorado, etc.
