A new study from the Kaiser Family Foundation shows that due to rising employer sponsored group health insurance premiums that 59% of employers in the US will increase employees’ deductibles, co-pays and coinsurance.
While businesses have absorbed rate increases over the years it is increasingly difficult for them to bear 100% of the cost of annual premium increases.
However, small business owners acknowledge that health insurance is still a very valuable tool to help them attract and retain quality employees. 62% of businesses with fewer than 200 employees continue to offer health insurance benefits.
