January 15th, 2010 – The negotiations are underway between the Democratic House and Senate leaders. This week, members of the House returned to Washington to work out the details of the proposed health care reform package. Senate lawmakers are scheduled to return to Washington next week.
President Barack Obama and Congressional leaders met this week to negotiate the merging of the proposed Senate and House versions of health care reform, it appears a final bill is starting to take shape.
Earlier this week President Obama and House and Senate Democratic Party leaders Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid, issued a statement indicating that they had made “significant progress in merging the gaps between the two health insurance reform bills.
